I've always had a lifelong interest in military topics. I served 6 years active duty and a number of years in the reserves as well. This interest eventually found its focus in trying to understand that great human disaster known as World War I. I can't explain why I became so fascinated with this specific war. While my family has a long history of service in America's wars (including as recently as Operation Iraqi Freedom), WWI is about the only conflict that we missed. Never-the-less, it's what I latched onto. Over time I've published a number of books and articles related to my research. All small press stuff, things you never heard of. I'm going to take a minute to list the things that I've written to date. I have several articles pending publication even as I type this. Given my interest in military topics, I'll no doubt find an occasion to blog about things that pique my interest in this area as well.
