Hey readers, I am working on finishing up a new novel entitled The Poisoner. It's one of those parallel universe settings - earth in every way, but not earth. It's Speculative Fiction - some would say Fantasy but it has no magical elements. Think of the Late Renaissance period and you'll be in the right place.

Seventeen year-old Federigo has just completed his apprenticeship and is about to become the youngest journeyman in the history of his guild. But he has only one thing on his mind - revenge.While the Empire convulses in the grip of a three-way Civil War and rival families in the city of Tremalfi engage in deadly vendetta, Federigo must find his way past plots, murderous ambition, and chaos to finally achieve justice.

The plot has more twists than a ten foot tall twisty thing. Can I pull it off? Will Federigo come through unscathed? I have my doubts. Follow my blog as I plow ahead to the inevitable conclusion. The ending will be as much a surprise to me as it is to you. I write organically, which means the story tells itself and I sometimes feel like a spectator. And yet this "turn'em loose" style works for me. Prepare to be surprised (and I hope, delighted).
